The hotel is in a convenient location for Nottingham and Derby, making it easy for various events and attractions. The rooms were adequate for children but lacked proper window closure and some maintenance issues. The cleanliness was not up to par, with noticeable wear and tear in the furnishings.
Initially encountered some issues with the room setup and cleanliness, but the staff quickly addressed them by moving us to a lovely, large, bright, and airy room. Service was friendly, albeit clearly overworked. The location had some drawbacks with poor lighting in the parking area, but the village ambiance was pleasant. Dining had its ups and downs with limited choices on certain days. The facilities overall were satisfactory.
